Yes I use ladders just for the gutter cleaning.
I have a tool to pull the dirt towards me on the inside of the guttering, and I use a pressure washer with a 24 ft lance.
-
Be glad to just get one >:(
-
got several to price up now. will be doing it on a ladder tho with the good old trowel and cloths. will be doing 5 a metre like MB i think this is the way forward with gutter cleaning.
-
I have had leaflets gone out about 3/4 weeks ago and I seem to be getting alot of gutter clean jobs at the moment.
I would say we get about 1 gutter clean to every 1-2 window cleans.
Suppose its that time of the year again lol

I'm turning work away at the mo and it is killing me :'(

I was going to quote for one today and leave it on a note with customers invoice to see if she was interested, but didn't have a clue how i would get to do it over conny and extensions so thought would leave it,they were green and desperate to be done.not forking out on a pressure washer and all extra kit because i only just started, infact first cleans (x3) was today.took me 2 hours to do first place, for 10 quid,I really need to get faster!!! It was first job i got and as soon as i walked away i knew it should of been £12-£14,But i got to start somewhere, should be easier now first one out the way

Here it is.
-
Here's the pressure washer and lance in action.
-
don't the windows and walls get totally caked up with a pressure washer?
-
how does that work then matt?
-
and the outsides.
-

Not really, I wash the windows and frames as part of the gutter clean anyway.
99% of the dirt is removed with the scraper, I just go up the ladders and empty the contents of the gutter in to a bucket. then flush the guttering out and jet wash the outsides.

could'nt see owt on the first pic because of the dazzle of back of your head. :P
-
i'm waiting on lance plus gutter tool arriving hopefully end of month. That attachment you made MB looks rather small. i used drain rods with attachment for cleaning inside the pipes
-
What pressure washer is it? Just your normal run of the mill Karcher?

I bought it, the reason its that size is the fact that some roof tiles overlap the guttering more than others so a larger one may not fit into the guttering.

where did you get it from matt? how does it work?

Its the one in the back of my van here, think its a lancin 2900 psi 5.5hp

I bought it from polarbrite, it connects to either an unger thread type extension pole or a WFP.

Did you mean the Lance or the scraper?
-
lance, sorry mate
-
I bought the lance from Craig at polar brite. about £150-£160 i think.
you just screw the high pressure hose on the trigger of the lance and away you go.
My next gutter job I will make a video.
-
northerntool uk sell the lance plus cleaning spot

Guys are these prices for clearing out the gutters only or for a clear out and outside clean of them?
-
how much do you charge just for clearing out the gutters either by ladder or vacuum? most of the gutters by me are not pvc so they dont need washing outside???
-
I charge £5 per metre full stop, if they dont want their fascias and soffits cleaned its still £5 per metre.
