Title: Squeaky Clutch

A posted on here about 2 weeks ago that i got a new clutch and flywheel for my Nissan Primaster van cost £1100 ive had to take the van back twice as the clutch constantly makes a loud squeaking noise everytime i change gear also the clutch sticks sometimes to the garage have bleed the clutch twice and they say they cant find anything wrong with it has anybody any ideas as i iam taking it back again on Monday.

For that price, I hopew they changed the slave cylinder at the same time.  Apparently it is normal to change this when doing a clutch change.

This is the bill, FLYWHEEL ASSY £258.46, ACTUATOR ASSY £143.00,CLUTCH CYL £33.66, CLUTCH KIT £175.74 the rest was for labour +vat i got my neighbour to have a look to he has a traffic as soon as he tried the clutch he said theres no spring in the clutch and i should take it back.

The thrust bearing is normally the offending article that causes these noises.

Very true.

Also if it has a dual mass flywheel can cause the same noise and they are not cheap.

wonder why they replaced the clutch AND  the flywheel ,  both cant have been duff .  if its making a shrieking noise ,something is definitely wrong  , its even possible to fit the clutch disc  the wrong way round and that makes a really bad squealing noise . the only trouble is to look at the clutch to find the problem needs it taking out again .HOWEVER ITS THEIR PROBLEM, NOT YOURS

Is it possible to pay for an AA inspection and report. Gives you some ammo.
