Title: 3rd set of remote contols
Post by: garyhumphreys on November 16, 2009, 03:31:21 pm
I am now on my 3rd set of remotes bought fron b&q. £19.99 for three, rated 13 amps but they keep braking down and wont switch on after a while. Anyone had the same problem? Anyone bought theirs from somewhere else and had no probs.

Gary

Maybe joe can tell you more as he has some and uses them..

Mine took me ages to pair up with the main switch :(

Only used mine twice so far - probably the third time on Wednesday.
Perhaps too soon to tell, but no problem so far.

Gary,
Been using these for years one plug for the Bane Clene machine and one for the Ashby Steamate. Are you sure the one you have is the 3 kilowatt version?
Regards,  Martin.

Used mine about 20 times in total and not had a problem and these are connected to a scorpian. Absolute Godsend when you're on the 3rd floor and need to change the tools.

I too have trouble switching off. Will switch on anywhere but not back off. Have a standard 135psi steempro nearly new, think the problem is that  as it runs off one  cable at the remote it is close to the plugs limit
