Title: what to do
Post by: joe.b on November 13, 2009, 05:06:34 pm
ive got a ro 4040 and i think the 40" membrane needs replacing so thats about £260, i was wondering whether to just buy a new 300gpd unit for £200 as the parts are cheaper as that would do fine for the amount of water i need, what do you think i should do?

depends how much water you need to produce, also with 300gpd ro you might need a booster pump so that would be another £80 on top of the  £200

I would sell the 4040 housing and membrane to me for a stupidly low price and buy a new ro!

heh,  ;D, does water pressure have anything to do with the membrane as my pressure is ridiculously low, and pumping out 50 tds from 350
