just got this e mail from the inland revenue
Dear Applicant:


we have reviwed your tax return and our calculations of your last years accounts a tax refund of 178.25 is due
Please submit the tax refund request and allow us 3-6 days in order to
process it.

A refund can be delayed for a variety of reasons.
For example submitting invalid records or applying after the deadline.

Please submit the form attached to your email in order to complete your tax refund

when you open the document it doesnt call you by name ,asks for all your bank details,passwords mothers maiden name etc
im not replying if im owed the money im sure they will knock it off next years bill

Stan, Ive been getting them almost daily for months. Its a scam. See the previous posts on it.

ive had the same e mail and guess what ive got the same amount for my refund .

stan look on the hmrc web site m8.
you can report this scam

they will tell you that they dont send out anything by email.the ONLY contract you will get from them are when they post you letters.

have been having a lot from banks lately, even though i havnt got an account but this is my first tax one,funny think is i have been with the accountent this week sending in this years info
