Im getting a 250l DI system from brodex in next few weeks but i know the water wont last me 8 hours so im planning on just wfp the tops and cleaning the bottoms traditionally (Ive been practicing) this way i reduce the number of times that i fill my tank up
Does anyone use this method and by doing this will i get 8hours cleaning time out of my system ?

Yes easily, you will use approx 10litres per house if you just use it for tops.

in time you will find it is quicker to refill your tank than carry on trading the bottoms

No neither will a 500ltr tank last you 8 hours!
not flat out I agree

with wfp being quicker you will not need to do 8hr days to clean more than trad. some groundfloor windows that can be reached easily can be done just as quick as wfp.
its ladders that slow you down against wfp when doing tops. its like night and day

what about getting a spare tank, then fill the one in your van then pump that into your spare, then refill the one in your van.
when you have run out,go home and pump it back in,and start cleaning again

You'll regret a 250l tank I think...but hey only you what will suit you best.
Cheers

I've got a 250L tank fitted and I can just about get 5 hours per day out of it, if I trad the downstairs on a few of the cleans.
I like tradding but it's so time consuming and I find it frustrating.
I would certainly get a 500L tank next, as I constantly worry about running out. You can carry a couple of 25ltr barrells and top up if you've got room in the cab of your van.
Unfortunately I've only got an Escort 55, so I can only carry 1 barrell on the floor by the passenger seat.
Experience tells me bigger van and bigger tank needed next time round.

Been limping along with 250 ltr tank, just about make it round some days moving upto 400 ltr
i do many custy's trad on ground floor - some prefer it and sometimes space/position mean i can trad it quicker
