thinking back to last winter when every thing was freezing up in vans and hours defrosting pipes etc anyone got any ideas to keep vans warm over night no access to electric where van is parked

Hello Paulben,

I've heard before that some people put blankets over the tank at night, just to keep temp above freezing.

Can't tell you if this works though, never tried it myself.

Kind regards. :)

I have had 3 duvets over the tank & pipes, and they have still frozen up before.
Now I put a hot fan heater in the van overnight, so you may have problems if you dont have access to electric.

Body heat can prevent freeze ups in the van, so stay positive when the missus chucks you out safe in the knowledge that you'll be off to a flyer on the cold and frosty mornings while in the bad books
