Title: help with modern twist on long company name
Post by: Martin ccs on November 06, 2009, 02:31:23 pm
when i left a window cleaning company many years ago all of there customers would complain about how late they were turning up - 2,3 or even 4 weeks late.

so when i went on my own i called myself clockwork cleaning service, with a moto of cleaning, regualr and reliable as clockwork.

helped in two ways - customers knew i wouldnt always be late for monthly cleans..... and helped me with not getting to many customers only wanting me every 3 months or worse.

but times change and now all companies have very small and catchy names.

i know i could just say ccs or clockwork cleaning but some customers didnt always see that i was a window cleaner with those names for some reason.

yeah had the name for over ten yours now.

full name is clockwork cleaning service - gloucester.

thing is we do alot of conservatory valets, gutters etc....

do alot of commercial cleaning and window cleaning.

prob 50% commercial and 50% domestic.

pro am gonna just stick with it, just wanted to see what ideas were about.

finding that some people see the word clockwork in an ad and just think its to do with clocks/ watches and dont read the rest.

i dont know if its just me but most customers never remember the company name and just know me as the window cleaner or martin, which is fine but the catchy company names always get remembered! just something that bugs me cuz the company round my area with a catchy name are poop!

I like the name martin, sorry clockwork. I never thought of it but i wish i had it's good. You've worn it for ten years so it's not so fresh to you.You need another take on it, but in branding terms i think it's excellent.Look at your first post, that's a story. To have a brand and a story that's blinding.
