Hi
Fan jet brushes are they any good plesase?
-
Down to personal choice, I think many prefer pencils, why not do an archive search for both jets, should bring up lots of info. 8)
-
Thanx for advise
I'll do that

I have used both pencil and fan jets for over 6 years now and I must admit that fan jets give a better clean.
I use the ones from gardiners, which I have found are the best so far.

someone videoed this a while back

Depends on how much water you want to use, the blue ones are about 1mm the green ones 1.5mm, its also complicated with the spray pattern and an all round spray pattern is slightly bigger that a 45 degree pattern. I find that 4 blue jets is fine for me - using about .5L/min
I used to use the green ones and they may suit those wanting more flow. Remember though that you will need a by pass to reduce the pressure or once you have found the right combination simply a spot of superglue to hold them in place, they will spray out about 6ft if you want. You will also need the Ts connectors for each jet. Use the Algarde 4mm hose or the Raindrip vinyl. 1/4"

1mm ones will do me fine jeff, you cant go wrong with that price,

Used them for 12 years now, buy a few packs and you can tailor a few differnt style brushes, the inside of the jet is an upside down funnel shape and creates and vortex that produces a perfect jet that you can aim at the ends of the bristles if you go ott so your always using clean water at the top of the bristles, pic to follow.

Well done Jeff and nice picture.

We tried both types over the years but found pencil jets shift the dirt off the glass easier.
Having said that the great pic by Jeff shows that fan jets would have been better where it's not possible to hold the brush off the glass.
