Ok I know these things sort of push the dirt around but anyway...
Been reading a few old posts, especially ones by Ken on LM cleaning.
My question is, does anyone actually use just 2 MF pads like Charlys, by just rinsing and resusing on the job?
It's just that they are only £18 each on WoC and of course Charlys now in the Alltec stable is going on for £200.
Any users, results compared to Charlys?

ear Mike your not going into the muck spreading business surely.
I have got 2 sets of Cahrlie pads and Micro pads too, have to say they are very much the same only difference is the Charlie pads were dearer and they do last longer. Cleaning wise they are about the same but they do need getting use to useing after useing cotton pads.
If I had to choose i'd go with the micro pads.

Thanks Dave, when you say they need to get used to how do you mean, different technique?
I've got about 6 thermadry pads was going to get more of those but £20 a pop and nacks the washing machine.
-
Unlike cotton pads Charlie and micro pads last long on the machine. So you don't have to keep flipping them over like cotton because the absorbantcy is better.
Next time I'm down your way I'll drop off the Charlie pads for you to try
-
Worth buying them mike as they will last longer.
Take em to a laundrette to wash ;)
Welcome to l m cleaning (muck spreading) ;D
You can earn good money from it ;)

Bonnet pads do not damage your washing machine any more than normal clothes washing.
The only " damage " is you will wear out your washing machine quicker.
We wash 1 or 2 loads of pads every day and a washing machine will last 2 to 3 years.
We put the new machines through the business and have never had a problem with our accountant or HMRC.
It is a myth that washing pads somehow affects your normal clothes washing as all the dirt is rinsed away like any other wash.
My Boy is a dirt magnet and I reckon his footie kit is dirtier than my pads. ;D

If Mr Brown is going to subsidize a new washing machine then that's good enough for me. :)
Thanks for replies so far. I will get some MF pads for now as it's only £40 and try some charlys later.
Withe regards to longevity of MF pads will a pair do 1000sqM?
-
In an ideal world you would not rinse and re-use pads on a job but would only use fresh pads as required.
Using a rinsed pad can never be as good as using a fresh one.
We carry at least 50 pads in each van but then we bonnet 99% of our work.
If you are only bonnetting now and again, buying a lot of pads would not make financial sense but I would want a lot more than 2 to clean 1000 sq. m.
You will have to decide what sort of investment is sensible in relation to how often they will be used.

Fenman I have three jobs totalling 1000sqM2 in the next month the biggest site is approx 500. I also have 6 thermodry pads a soil sorb bonnet and a truckmount ;D
Was thinking 2 MF pads and use a 2 bucket wringer, but I can get more, they are the same price as the Thermodry standard pads anyway.
Not a lot of offices my way but getting quite a bit of work off one Client at the mo.
Cheers for replies.

L M cleaning - you know it makes sense ;D

Mike
The pads are always worth getting as i have about 45 left and seem to loose a few a year on the way ;D
-
There's a lot of Farmer's on here. ;D
-
Sell the truck mount before everyone is converted to L M cleaning and the bottom falls out of the market. ;D
Just think how many pads you could buy and how much better you will feel knowing you have joined the 21st century.
