Venom it sounds to me your machine is earthing out somewhere.
make sure it is dry inside around the the vac motors and connections around the inside of the machine

Hi,

It can be a number of things.

1. Check all wiring inside for breakage to the insulation, arcing can occur if two wires are broke at the same point.

2 Where the heater connects to the wiring loom, I have known the spade connectors to melt and become corroded again the wiring can arc .

3. Run the machine with no water in to ensure that it is not leaking through either the freshwater tank or the waste tank.

4. I wouldn't bother with Ashby's your machine will disappear into a customer service black hole and you'll br quiet until the new year, through lack of machine

Someone who knows electrics should be able to sort it.

Regards

Graham

Mine kept tripping and it turned out to be a vac motor on the way out. I'd check the brushes even though it trips when they aren't switched on.

Venom

Does "mcr" in your profile stand for Manchester?

If so ring me tomorrow and I'll give you the details of the engineer i use to service my Ninja. He's based out towards buxton but will come to you if you don't mind paying him for that.

Similar to me but it was the cooling fan that was my problem.

Venom I'd still get it checked out, could still be a problem lurking in there, nothing more frustrating if I get a recurring problem. I did have an issue with one of mine tripping, turned out to be a faulty power cable.

Think you might find it will happen again when the machine gets warmed up..

machine was cold when it started tripping out first job of day .had a feeling it was water or damp when filling had spilt some down side but thought i had wiped it up before reaching switches . hence why i tried hair dryer and leaving next to radiator .thanks for the replys

I would think it is the power cable

The urine problem solved thanks for that mate.
Came out a treat and they haven't rung back so it must be alright.
It is under warranty but it's a long way to Kent if it's only a bit of wiring.
Going to take it down to Wakefield Floorcare and let John have a look.

It would be cheaper to go to ashbys than wakefield floorcare ;D ;D

:( Your probably right Mark but needs must.
