I ran my business for the first 6 months using a wcw backpack

Does that answer your question for just a £100 cost ?

aye i bought the omnipole 3 speed and use it every day and cant fault it. the reason i never bought the 5 speed was from my research on forums no one used it above speed 1. and i have to say thats true

Just wondered if I could manage with the WCW backpack alone?
All domestic work mainly 3/4 bed houses, also some rural (move about) stuff
This topic that I started relates to this question:-

So the other 2 speeds are made redundant?
Whats the point of having a varied controller if you only use it on the first setting.

the number 1 setting is ample for windows on the omnipole but if you want more water you can have it by bumping up the flow. from what i hear the one setting on the wcw backpack is a bit much. but yes that can be controlled by methods already mentioned.

i cant say whats best as ive only used mine. all i am saying is i am happy with it and havent had any problems

You could do it, but you would need to do a couple of trips to get water. The mondeo wont carry many 25L containers unless you have them all dotted about the seats. That wouldnt be too safe though.

I had a VW sharan people carrier and had 7 x 25L containers and the backpack in the boot, well away from me !

If your looking at going 80% plus wfp then I would suggest a van. If tops wfp and trad bottoms, I reckon you could just get away with a backpack/trolley

Backpack is a great tool to have. I now have a 400L van system, but I use the backpack a couple of times a week atleast.

If your thinking of getting a backpack for odd awkward jobs I'd get the wcw one. Great value for money for awkward jobs

you can easy carry 8 25 ltr containers and a backpack in the boot of a mondeo estate my mates been doing this daily for around 18 months .
for £100 the wcw backpack is a good buy as it will able you to do most jobs the downside is you are having to refill after each house .
shurflo are allso a good backpack and 1 fill can get you around 3 houses as you get a better control of the water flow .
after having and using both wcw & shurflo i would go for shurflo , this is in no way saying wcw pack isnt any good as its a good tool to have and will be fine for most users needs .

Thanks for that reply, Dave (Shaw that is).
Do you think I could start out with just the shurflo backpack or do I need the trolley as well?
Is the shurflo too heavy to use on your back all day or do you reccommend a sacktruck?
My work is mainly very compact, i only need to move about 400 yards to do a days work ie:- 20-25 houses.

a shurflo backpack would suit you for the amount of houses you stated just doing tops , ive never used a shurflo on my back so wouldnt like to say just used a sack truck from day 1 ,i would imagine if you planed on using a backpack on your back all day you would need to be in a tip top shape of fitness .

Cheers once again for your reply.
I thinks i'll go for the shurflo backpack and I'll also go for a varitech or omnitrolley 50 ltr with fitted di filter.
My home tds is 35 ppm so I'll make some water at home for the backpack.
I'm thinking that the trolley will get most use on my compact round and the shurflo I'll use for my rural stuff where getting trolley in and out of the Estate car will be tiresome.
BTW i'm fit enough (still play footy) but i'm 52 so don't want to be silly.
It's raining here in Cheshire, so i'm having a day off.  ;D
