Hi
youve probably had this loads of times before so apologys......
Ive been out canvassing for a few weeks andnot had much luck-I canvassed yesturday and picked up 5 customers in 4 hours canvassing
Just wondering if you experienced window cleaners see this as a good result and how many customers do you pick up onaverage everytime you canvass?
-
It all depends on the price mate.
5 £5 jobs is different to 5 £10 jobs.
All in all though 5 jobs is 5 more customers.
Well done and keep it up,
Dean

cheers mate- i know im new so maybe its just alittle confindence i need but im working to build up a round fast as possible.
It was 5x £8 per month so not a bad start if u look at it ur way
-
You will most probably pick up more during or not long after cleaning those 5 aswell.

How many weeks would it take you dean to pick up £300 a months worth at £8 a time?
-
What you need to remember that every man and his dog is canvassing, so 5 is great.
One thing I would say and I do not know what area you are in: Do not sell your self short on the pricing just to gain work, as you will regret it.
also it should be not about the amount of houses it is the amount of money you make and the time it takes to make it, you dont work for houses, you work for money ;)

Being and doing a good job is the best way of picking new customers up. Getting a toe in on a street is a good start and then in can end up with 1/2 the street being done. I have one street which takes me 3 days a month to do.

That's £480 per year. Not bad for 4 hours walking the streets! ;)
It's hit & miss mate, tommorow you might catch a bag full, the day after none! It's having the will that counts, have plenty of it & you'll catch 'em mate. ;)

ive had ten £10 houses in a row before now , done in less than an hour canvassing
weekend after same area had £20 in 4 hours
swings and roundabouts its all about luck in hititng an area with no window cleaner
drive around on sunny weekend afternoons looking for dirty windows and then hammer that area, i do that sad innit
or systematically work through an area ie a page of az at atime till you know you have had an answer off everyone there, then move through an area say ten pages then back to beginning
you will soon get a presence and start to pick up work when and if another cleaner leaves or gets sloppy

Very true. A customer who I done a first clean on last week has just phoned saying how pleased she was with my work and could I do her sons house as well.
The more customers you get and do a top job the more recommendations you will get.

I found it a bit daunting when started not too long ago as well.A good way to look at it is that if you got 5 customers a week like you have done in a few hours canvassing,in a years time you will 250 customers. When you're out canvassing or leafletting it can feel depressing when you have a morning of no joy,but as said above the next time you go out you might hit a sweet spot and get half a dozen customers.

The last yearly payrise i got through the books was the equivalent of a couple of £10 jobs. So i always look at any new job as yearly income. It gives me a thrill. ;D
