okay i know this has been asked before but i'd just like a new fresh veiw on the topic.
Do you as a window cleaner include frames and sills in your service or just glass?
or do you inclide frames as an optional extra?
plus do you do front and back doors as standard or are these added extra's?
thanks in advance george

i included doors, frames and sills in my price, cant see the point in having clean glass, if sills, frames and doors are dirty sure some frames and doors make take a few cleans to get spot less, but most of the custys i have expect that any way as a lot where covered in green algy type stuff, as hadent been done in ages,

My price includes glass, frames, sills and doors - custys are told this just before i tell them the price
-
same as above . . everything incl'
-
same as above,
-
same as above i tell the customer when i give them a price always gets me the job and it only takes a few mins to do the doors and frames and sills
-
All frames and sills and all doors EVERY time ;D
-
Same here ;)
-
All included here too. Can be a barsteward of a job first clean, but easy to wipe them over from then on, and looks great.
On the subject, I've just gained about 40 customers from a street where the cleaner they did have refused to do frames in with the price.

Trad was glass sills and door glass, frames were charged as extra.
Wfp splash everything even the customer if their stood to close lol

Depends how clumsy you are ;D

All of the above. Picked lots of customers up from just spending the few extra mins doing the frames and sills.

No cleaning the frames is silly, it is untapped income staring you in the face. Include it in your quote. It will be the most profitable extra income you will ever earn. No extra expenses incurred.
I would recommend going wfp for the single reason of getting those dormers, velux and windows over conservatories.
Getting a quid, 2 or more per job soon mounts up. It's very easy to keep frames clean.
-
I clean the frames on the first clean, then every now and then When I think they need it, no point cleaning frames that are clean is there.
Sils I clean every time.

Hi how much extra would you charge for frames on a standard 3 bed semi (trad)? Assuming house is worth £10-£12.
-
Nothing, unless you're a thieving gypsie ::)
Just my opinion ;)
-
thankyou everyone for all your input!
ive heard of people charging double for the frames and sills, but none of those people have spocken out on this thread! i'd like to hear from those w.c's who charge more for frames and sills and doors still!!!
many thanks people, george.

I always do the frames and sills inclusive of cost. It doesnt take much time or labour and only needs a cloth or rag to do it. Makes you look good and I feel (and hope) that a lot of recommendations will come from it. Win win in my opinion.
