Having a mind block.... its coming to the time to change the resin in my DI vessel, I have never done this before, how much resin would this size take? It measures.... 8 inch diameter, and stands 18 inch high - (no volume measurements on the bottle?) And is it simply a matter of unscrewing teh black cap at the top where the in and outlet valves are, and tipping out the old resin and putting in the new??
Thanks!

fill it about 3/4 full i'd say/ use some old magazine to make a funnel.

Fill with resin up to the shoulder of the vessel (just before it starts to taper in at the top). Yes, unscrew top, Tip old resin out, wash out with water (well, I do anyway) & refill.
Tip- fill newly filled vessel with water before you put the tube & head back in, makes it a lot easier.

Yep that's all you need to do, I rinse out the vessel before putting the new resin in.
Just fill upto the bottom of the vessel neck, this allows enough room for you to insert the stem.
Tip, filling them is made a lot easier if you can make a funnel out of a road cone.

you might want to give it a good shake to screw the black top down

Thanks guys! Any idea how much this size of container will take - ie how many litres will I need to buy??

Hi mate.
It will take 11,8 litres for the 8"X 17" vessel.

tip, use a small brush to clean any resin left between the threads, will screw on more smoothly, and helps to line the tube up
