Yep, been with them a few years now, cant fault them. Only thing is, if you need some new books, slips ect, allow a week or two to have them sent out to you.

I am with A nd L and i dont quite agree , yes they are free but the process of paying in cheques is a right ball ache , 10 cheques per envelope acc number on back of each cheque and have to pay into post office who then send them to A nd L who get them and process them hopefully next day or 2 , Because of this unsafe situ i now have to photocopy each cheque before i envelope it and the process is getting on my t*ts , ALSO they do offer faster payments but with a £250 limit so a £1000 payment for examle needs to be done in 4 £250 payments >:( :'(

You can pay the cheques in in the bank itself. Not sure how other banks handle this. Also, I believe most banks have got a £250 limit on faster payments.

We moved from A&L (always took ages to get through to someone on the phone) to the FSB Coop Account.  Better phone service with the Coop but it can be difficult to access your account online during the day.  I didn't find out until afterwards that the Coop use A&L to run their banking!  Fortunately they don't seem to use the same telephone team.

been with the coop for about 3 years now and cant fault them one bit.  Great customer support.  English call centers.  The only problem for me is that there are no branches closse to me, nearest is manchester way about a 2 hour drive so all my payments are made by post.  Ok until the posties do their thing.  Apart from that more than happy with them.  Plus you get a whopping £25 a year for staying with them.

We have used Co-Op at work for around 8-10 years - GREAT service.

So thought I would transfer a personal account to them - APPALING service!

Think they are good for business banking - i suppose they have to be or the FSB would get a bit p-ed off for giving them a bad name but would definately give it a miss on the personal side
