Hi,
Whats the difference and cleaning results between oscillating pad cleaning and bonnet cleaning?
Thanks Andy
-
I've got a Oreck low boy which is a big oscillating machine, it is a lot harder to use even though I use a glide it is hard to maneuver also I find the vibrations coming up my arms to be quite annoying.
it does clean better but I think this is because it is harder to move so you spend more time on the same area.
they are not worth the money, but if you want one you can buy mine :D

And thats comming from an all time great sales person, so i think i will give the kind offer of buying the machine a miss!
Out of interest Mike whats your prefered method for rotary cleaning, iv just completed a large office with the usual desks chairs etc in way and plenty of black marks from tea coffee etc. I got really good results pre spraying quite heavy with roto brite II with chemspec energiser added going over with Restormates scrub bonnets (bonnet with bristles running down in 2 places) then light re spray of roto brite and quick re bonnet with a normal bonnet. I dont soak the bonnets and wring out first but give a good spray and use. I used a 15" rotary and think a 17" would have been awkward around desks.

I did a bus depot office last month, it was really bad so I vacced it, then rotary scrubbed it with a stiff brush, then vacced it again.
the dust the scrubbing loosened was incredible.... it was like a dust storm we did this 3 times until it stopped creating the dust storm.
Then I presprayed M/S, then again scrubbed this in with the stiff rotary brush. I then went across with folded terry towels'
it came up really well....... but I think we could have walked away after just scrubbing & vacuuming and they would have been happy, it made such a difference.

Mike - do you still have the Low Boy and if so do you want to sell?
-
Yep still got it, sorry not for sale
But I have learnt how to ue it better, rather than fight it I let it go where it wants, just guiding it slightly rather than force it. I quite like it now
-
where did you get it from - can't seem to get them in the UK - did you import it?
-
I bought it of nick at solutionsuk

Mike the folded cotton towels you mentioned earlier. Is that the ex-hotel ones you said about ages ago. Are they working well ?
-
Dan This post began 5yrs ago at the time I just used any old towel I had kicking around the house.
Now I just use my dry fusion bonnets. Although I an considering taking some of the hotel towels to a seamstress to see if she can cheaply make them into bonnets

Sorry mate.. never noticed the dates ;D

I had a cleanfix, I bought it from solutions a few years back, I just didn't get on with it ! Sold it on, but didn't loose much on the original price as they through in some free bonnets and brushes when I bought it , the guy who bought it from me was very pleased with it
