hi,we're looking at george at the mo how good is it?has /does it help improve the way we work, also does this work with sage?any help would be great thanks kevin ;D

It's brilliant - easy to use and an ideal program to get you started. Just been updated too.
I've been using it for about 3 years now. First rate back-up too.

george is good you can download a trial version,
but I've moved from george to window cleaner pro. www.windowcleanerpro.com. they also do a free trial.
personally prefer wcp ;)
-
i was a fond user of george but i've been using wcp pro for nearly 12 months now and its left george well behind.
george is a good basic programme though. but wcp is more the future
-
how is wc pro better than george-in which way?is george ok to start with and at which point do you need to move on?many thanks so far guys-kevin

I find WCP better for breaking the run into manageable bits, but you still see the big picture.
to be honest, I used george for two years with no problems, if there was no wcp i would happily still use george.
having used wcp for a couple of months, it just does it better, also the response time for questions from Ian or Brad is excellent

WCP looks ok if you got £203 to spare.
I'll stick with the perfectly acceptable (for me) £50 George :)

George does averything I need, well worth the money, and simple to use

have to remember it's not you spending money, it's the business investing in a product ;)

george is a great product and i dont think it is going to be replaced
as a alternative to pen and diary it is fantastic
george on pda is great, debt lists are good too
however for anything more than sole trader or someone who needs a bit more wcp is all the way for me
could never go back now
you wont know till you try :)
-
many thanks so far, does george "interact"with sage ie can you export data to sage from george, kevin
-
George all the way, can't beat it at that price.
And as already mentioned the online auto backup is the nuts, saved me from losing everything when my laptop went bang :o
Customer service is spot on and very fast.
-
pen drive :)
thats where i back up too each night
-
George is very useful.
But to make it easier do it like I do and have a laptop with the full program on.
That way you don't have to faff about with connecting things up and transfering things.
If I get a new customer or lose one I can adjust it there and then.
