Have been using wagtail combi for past 2 years and found it to be an excellent tool, even fastest than whirlwind as it cleans in one pass.
They have stopped producing the tool which i feel is a big mistake.
I have emailed wagtail in oz asking them if they would start making them again, even offering to market it for them but have had no reply.
wondering how many of you would want the tool?
-
yes, id want one ,it sounds great
-
so whats so good about the whirlwind ?????????????
what size are the combis ? i have a flipper ,its good
-
Can a regular wagtail be made into a combi ? isthe aluminium bit exactly the same on your combi ? If they come available put me down for at least 2
-
Is there a Whirlwind? I just thought it was the title of a thread which showed someone demonstrating the speed of using the flipper.
-
flipper cant be made into a whirlwind.
combi has pad then blade behind so cleaning requires just one past
-
I can't understand why they stopped making them either. There could have been an issue with those plastic tabs that stopped the pad from turning, but I pop riveted the two sections together anyway so never used them. I only ever use the combi in the single pass position.
I have been preaching about the Combi for years, once you master one of them there's no going back.

I,ve email wagtail in oz about 10 days ago begging them to start make combis again, but they haven't had the common courtesy to reply.
With decent marketing behind this tool it could go stratospheric!

Got to agree with Dia,and Premire on this one.The Ẁagtail`
Combi is streets ahead of any other `2 in 1`tool that’s out there.
I can`t make my mind up regarding the `Flipper`.After looking
At them at the recent `Fed`trade show, the jury`s still out for me.
Regarding the combi, can`t remember what Dia has. Some pads
Are permanent micro pad glued to the plastic plate.Others are
Fixed with Velcro and can be detached for washing.Ya can
Re-vamp your own pad using your own personal strip washer
Sleeve.Ya can still `close out`on your finishing stroke.
I think I sent Dia some `pics`awhile back now.In visa versa `mode`
They fit perfect in the clear opac Unger bucket on belt for carrying
Around etc.I`ve got every size going, even the small 8 incher.

I'd try one. I have a flipper but never use it because I believe it needs a larger expanse of glass than most of my work has. I really don't take to the dangly flapping bit of fluff. Vileeda make a one pass tool that doesn't work very well bacause the blade isn't locked into the same plane as the squeegie.
Flipper isn't a one pass tool like the combi so is prone to the problem of solution drying on the glass before it's wiped off if you try to scrimp on insides.

im going to have a go see if i can make a flipper into a one pass combi . im thinking i will rivet on a plastic plate directly behind the rubber blade and then somehow attach the scrubber pad there .
wish i had a few fotos of ze combi to go on ,can anybody post up several fotos of this "rare bird combi " to give me an idea ?
