Up to 0.10 still cleans it good.what is the highest number pls
-
Mines been brown all year, however,i do have an 11ltr di prior to the Ionics one, which will save you £80 every couple of months. Any higher TDS and i think you'll be pushing your luck.
-
I change my blue resin filter every 7-8 months
-
How many litres a day do you use? I was using one every 6 weeks until i doubled up.
-
250-300 lt a day
-
did you modified blue filter to 11 lt resin?
-
I just fitted an 11ltr normal di vessel prior to my Ionics blue change and i haven't changed either all year. 006ppm into di's and 000 thereafter, all year.
-
ok mate
some help please
11lt di vessel
is it straight forward.,?
is just plug them in where is blue filters goes?
-
Keep the Ionics filter where it is on the front of the tank but the hose leading to it you cut in half and put a connector either end and plug it into your 11ltr di(mine is to the right hand side of the tank). Gapswater, amongst others, sell the di's. Connect with Hozelock type fittings or jubilee clips.

If you're still confused then i'll take some pics and email you if you like.
-

zodiacwindows@hotmail.co.uk
big help
-
Thats right, the water still goes through the Ionics filter with no problems at all. I'll take some pics tomorrow and mail them over, regards Jamie

one more question jamie
you always have same ionic filter on you dont change that at all?
tom
-
The last time i changed it was Christmas,so until my tds rises above 000 then i shant. I use roughly 500ltrs a day. All because the resin changes to brown it doesn't necessarily mean the resin is spent. You have to go by your tds reading and not the resin colour. When my Ionics filter does need changing then i'll buy another 11ltr vessel as it holds more than the Ionics one and is far cheaper option.
-
so vessel and ionic filters change it sort of same time every year?
-
vessels are refillable ain't they?£ 56 11 lt ( on ebay)vessel empty+rein is about £ 65 25 lt
-
Yes,vessels are refillable, unlike the Ionics ones. You don't need to change both at the same time. If you 'search' twin di's then people have explained the two di rotation system far better then i could.
