Customer - "do you think you could mend that gutter bracket up there, only I took it apart and it leaks even worse than before"

Up the ladders I go, take the joint apart and wipe the grit off the rubber seals. Come back down, pack my ladders away and wind in my reel.
Customer has the cheque all written out ready for his normal window cleaning price. >:(

Customer No2 - "How much to clean my house?"
If it's regular - every five weeks it will be twelve pounds
"Oh great here's £24.00 for the next clean too"

I get half way through and custy says "cheerio i've got to go out now" starts the engine winds down the window "I've been thinking - don't come back untill the new year - bye!"

What a numpty.  ::)

he paid you after you said it was 5 weeks, he can't change the agreement after he's paid. go back in 5 weeks do them, and ditch him.

I reckon there is a nest of these types of custies near to where FTP lives. :)

Hello ftp,

I tell you what, if that customer gave you £24.00 for 2 cleans.

I know what I would do is take the money and charge it as a 1st clean as they are double the price usually.

And then send him a bill for the rest i.e. £48.00 because i would make him pay for a one off clean as that sounds like what he wanted, basically just trying it on.

Anyway my one off price for that customer would have been £72.00.

Customers like that make me angry. >:(

.....or make a refund of £12 and don't go back?

dont go back and tell them you didnt know which year they meant :)

or just suck it up and go?
