Title: which glide for blueline wand?
Post by: Jim_77 on October 30, 2009, 01:52:41 pm
Anyone know the make/model of wands supplied with blueline TMs?  I need to order a glide for it.

I can't get the info off Alltec, mr saunders has gone quiet on me now he knows he's got my money in the bank >:(

Got a blueline cobalt with a 4 jet 2". I contacted blueline direct, their wands are made by westpac. Got my glide through hydramaster who got it from greenie. But not sure if greenis is doing glides at present. Glide was £100, Alltec do glides for their wands but I think their price is more

Jim is that the actual machine you are buying?

why has it got 2.5 going into the wastetank from the blower and 1.75 coming out, plus could'nt they afford radiator hose so stuck in some vac hose ( held in with Gaffer tape ::) )

when you get time buy one of these and start using your machine to its full potential :D

only pulling your leg you've bought a beatifull machine :)

Mike I must admit I raised half an eyebrow at that, seems a bit like finishing off a nice ferrari with a grey plastic bumper ::)

2.5 to the splitter would make more sense but might only show a drop in cfm when dual tooling on long runs ???

Dave - making my ramps as we speak ;D

Just need a 50 yard run-up, wouldn't be a prob on most jobs i'd have thought!!

Hi Jim,

Just put 2 and 2 together. It has been sitting in the corner of the Alltec showroom for a while waiting for a Servicemaster guy to purchase.(or someone who loves yellow). I hope that you got a good deal. Also welcome to the Blueline club which is a very select group of carpet cleaners 8)

Jim, nice piece of kit.

You will be able to do all those trashed pubs yourself now ;)

Just put a jubilee clip around the hose and your good.

Just watch out though as some of those blue line club guys are  :o well lets just say that Billy is looking at buying one :o

Paul if you look close I don't think you can use jubilee clips to hold it in place, I think the hose cuffs are fitted inside the ports.

that's why the have used gaffer tape to make it airtight. Jim if I'm right you need to find the correct diameter radiator hose to fit externally over the ports, the way they have done it restricts the airflow.

Mike your right.

I did not look at both ends of the hose.

It actually looks like 1 and half inch , Jim, if so can just change it to 2 inch.

If not go with Mikes idea.

Wondered who's Blueline it was going to be as it was placed in the showroom bit of alltec, fantastic bit of kit you may look at yor bank statement but you'll never look back at the work you will do.

I had a look at that TM when I was last at Alltec a few weeks ago. The grey hose is 2" all that needs to be altered is to put a 2" straight cuff on each end instead of those slightly reducing cuffs.
