ask if they smoke first . often folk lie, but just wipe a tissue on the glass ,see if it turns dark yellow  .  i use a regular mop n squeegee on insides , THERES NO SHORTCUT and a scrimcloth for the wiping up.    IF they chain smoke  you have to use effort with the mop and itll need to be laden with soapy water  . the wetter the better

Hello dash t,

The best thing for cleaning internal windows is pure water in a spray bottle, using a good clean micro fibre cloth to finish the job.

Hope this helps you out.

Kind regards. :)

I dont think so. If the window is clean to start with it might be ok but if its not then good old applicator and squeegee method is surely the way to go.

I cannot imagine for one second that anyone would consider cleaning a large window say a shop in town centre or car showroom etc using a spray bottle and a microfibre

you can get the poles adapted for this method and instead of a brush on the head you have a microfibre expensive though but does the job and very well too :)

Dash-T, I take it you are looking for a tip on which chemical to use or some trick of the WC trade. There are loads of blokes on here with as many ideas about internal cleaning as there are windows to clean. I'm trad and that's inside and out. Can't see a problem  but, you don't have the experience to do that so, I would say use what you use at home. Whatever it is. There isn't a secret to it. Unless you want to buy a WFP system (for inside, abit overkill IMO) or do what I do, mop and squeegy.

You see the browny/yellowish border round the window. It looks horrible and looks as though it would be easier replacing the glass.

Another reason for disliking smoking
