Im putting all my filters in etc and getting prepared for properly hooking it up in a few days. This is a silly ? I think, but should I be taking the green ring and the plastic bandage bit off the membrane?

Im assuming I should, but dont want to do it and it be my luck for it to be ruined!

Looking again maybe I dont, but should I take the model no sticker off or will it pull it to pieces?
