Sounds OK to me.
I wouldn't concern yourself with its shape.  That's only cosmetic.
I wouldn't be influenced by the previous owner being a "lady" driver either.  If she drives it anything like some of the "ladies" I've known, that could be detrimental.  :)

I've got a scudo mac mac with 650 L and a 900kg rating. Very pleased, twin doors great for two operators.

However i thinking about getting another transit to carry a better load 1000L.(the only downside to this is getting on and off drives)

Youll always think this ones too good to miss mate, wait till next year an they will have dropped again anyway. If you can afford it go for it, if its gonna screw your finances up (im not insinuating anything) then dont.

No worries mate, will give you details if it doesn't come off. downside for me is it's a 6 hour drive away. drive doesn't bother me but i've work coming out my ears!!

Yeah, know what you're saying dude, been looking for a while, my van's pretty old now & don't want to be rushed/forced into buying at any time- that's a concern for me. + I could do with a bigger tank too.

Which engine is it?

If its the HDI then its a bargain, if its the older 1.9 diesel then avoid. The have had a lot of probs with the 1.9s, this is why the are cheap.

wont have any problems with the 1.9D (non-turbo). but they are flat as a pancake. worse when tank's full.

I've had a 1.9 from new (2003). Done over 100,000 and its been to hell and back and its never let me down. The hd was more prone to problems than the non-turbo.

I had the 1.9d in my pug partner, same engine i think, ok, not fast but did the job, did 120,000 miles and still going strong, fantastic engine.

2 months ago I went with a mate (who is just starting up wfp) to an auction and he bought a very tidy 06 version (Pug/Fiat/Citroen last of the old shape type) for £3900 all in with 38K on the clock and we thought that was a reasonable deal.

The one your looking at macmac - if genuine - seems very good indeed.

If it's payload is 815kg then as a single op, if you're very careful about other weight issues you could put a 650L in it.
