the stuff i use is a residual insecticide. I think its called fendona, we get it at a local pharmacy!!
-
Do you get much spider controll work?
-
I like the spiders; they are a great source of entertainment lol.
Next time you see a web in your way don’t destroy it straight away, instead direct your water flow at a point on it and hold it steady, within seconds the spider will appear and race to the source of the vibrations. Imagine the shock it gets as instead of a nice juicy fly it gets a good soaking, they usually run straight into the flow. Move the flow and it will have another go only next time it will pull a fine filament behind it just in case lol.
It works every time and always makes me laugh. (yeh I know I should get out more)
PS sorry trad guys, Its no good chucking a squeegie at it. it wont work!!

on regular 2 weekly cleans, i noticed spiders stay away, monthlys they creep back, they definitly dont like pure water, i think it burns there skin like an acid would to us

Just done a quick search. It says I think an application lasts
3 months or so.
I`ve had terrible trouble with spiders webs this past 2 summers.
Don`t know for sure, but I recall before applying any insectacide
Ya have to obtain planning permission from the local council.
It`s a formality I think but can be a possible hazzard to birds and
Wild life.I`d check it out before procceding anyways.

Spider Control.......sounds like a load of old conkers to me!!
No seriously, for a natural enviromental friendly method, place two conkers on the window sills and the spiders will stay away.
A customer told me he heard it on Radio Two, tried it and when I cleaned his windows ..my god there were no spiders. Tried it at home all around my conservatory and it works !!
Apparently, the conkers contain some sort of natural oil which keeps the spiders away.
Now how much is a fair price for conkers, £1 each ??

or is it just that you get the conkers in autum just as the spiders are on the decline ?

As Dizzee Rascal would say....'Some people think I'm conkers'

this is true!! It is a natural repellant to spiders. I would rather be able to use a natural remedy like this than spraying on an insectiscide!!
