Diverting incoming calls to the mobile is a big expense, I came across this thread with plenty of opinions:

The following 2 caught my eye:

This seems good value at just over £200, if used with a free network to network sim card, for example I'm with 02 mobile, so if I use an 02 sim for the unit all 02 - 02 calls are free, just not 100% sure how you install a unit like this, does it need to be linked viaour PC permanently or is it simply a plug in and go device via your existing phone line ?

A new business package from 02 effectively giving you a landline number for your mobile, from what I can see its free with any 02 business package the cheapest being £21.00 p/month including a phone (36 month contract)
Any of you guys using these ?
Cheers

only a £1 a month with virgin
-
Guy's would I be right in thinking you are quoting Land lines to mobiles when your saying £1 and £2 ???
-
with virgin i pay £2 /month but you also pay the calls as being made to a mobile, yours.it's like your land line is calling you on the mobile every time some one is calling on the landline no.and that is charged as a call to a mobile

It is expensive!!
You guys that are saying £1 and £2 a month. Do you not pay for the calls coming in aswell??
I pay £1.50 (or something) via BT and then i am charged for every call that comes in! (that i answer) or atleast a % of the calls coming in. My last phone bill was £98 last month on biz calls alone! So it is expensive.
i shopped round two years ago, and talktalk, BT and Virgin (at the time atleast) had this same cost structure.

my business land line is from a company called chess, they use bt's lines. i pay bt around £24 per month for broadband. chess called me the other day and offered me 100 mins of diverted calls a month for £7, minutes over the 100 at my normal rate, plus 8mg broadband for £13, they've never let me down yet so i think i will go for it,

That sounds like a better deal Colin

Look at the number displayed when it rings.
If it's 0800 don't answer it personally, but it costs nothing if you do.
If it's a mobile number, answer it because it's probably not been
diverted just a mobile to mobile call.
If it shows an area code just either cancel it and ring straight back
using your free minutes or answer and say can I ring you back in
a couple of minutes.
Haven't lost one job yet doing it this way.
