Title: Scrubber machine

This might be a really silly question, but why do scrubber/polisher machines have clockwise and anti clockwise turning?

If you are using a bristled brush, and it only turned in one direction
the bristles would eventually flatten, and become less productive.
Alternating the turn will reduce this happening, keeping the bristles more upright.
