Title: Ionics old skool, or 4040

As title really guys. Going to get a 4040 within the next week and build it up (hopefully)lol, and have seen a old skool ionics setup in trialer (5 stage) for the same sort of money as this would cost?

What are these like, and would I be best off ticking with the 4040??
