To start with just use the pole for the upstairs, as you need to learn the basic traditional skills too.
I would opt for the 350ltr tank, there isn't much in the price, I have a 350ltr upright tank in my escort van.

I get a days work out of it, 350 litres I work 9-3ish
I have my flow controller set at 2 litrs per minute.
to start, with you will go through water like its out of fasion, but you will learn you wont need to rinse as much.
I have only ran out of water once, that was because I was on a large conservatory roof and cladding job at the end of the day.

I have a 350 ltr tank in my van, filled it up yesterday as it was getting a bit low, have now learnt that maintenance cleans dont need the water turned up that high and when i finished all 6 houses today i had barely used any of it at all and yes all the windows were cleaned properly :) If i was to do this all the time i would get at least 20 houses out of my full tank.

Ro - thats plus the Vat - I have to buy the poles and installation costs on top but its reasonable. Im getting mine done either mid december or early january

Rule of thumb on regular cleans - one operator with sensible water usage:-

250L = 4 hrs

400L = 7hrs

650L = 10 hrs

Why not just go for a bigger tank or if that's not possible carry a few 25L drums for topping up.

ive been told that if i have soft water i can bypass the ro filter and maybe just fill the tank up with the hose pipe when im on my dinner - has anyone tried this

What?

I would strongly go with purefreedom.
I think my set up was about £1100.

and within the £1100 I had a large bag of resin and a 24ft pole with brush and a battery charger.

seriously!!!
Did you get it installed at grimsby?

How much do you think one would be with a 13ft pole and a 30ft pole - hose reel with installation and battery linked to the van

I bought a 4ft that extends to 7ft for £40 from polarbrite.
I didnt have it installed at grimsby but they told me, to have it installed would cost about £600
I wouldn't bother with a 13ft, if you want it for everyday houses get a 17-18ft pole.
I have my tank strapped to the van with 2, 1 tonne ratchet straps. those straps will not snap as the tank when its full will only weigh approx 370kg.
