Here is a cheap wfp set up, is this a bit cheap for a reason, or would it be fine as a small starter kit??
How much work can be done with 250l??
Thanks again, and sorry for all the questions recently.

that price is about right for 250 lires, dont be drawn in to the trap that a system has to cost thousands of pounds, the system i use my self only cost 500 and that was diy from wintecs and gardiners
-
Could I have some infop on your system please mate, and how it operates and gets you though. Really dont know how much 250l would actually clean....

Krave you won't ever realise how simple a wfp set up is, but taking a look at this site will let you come as close to it as possible.
No expertise needed. It is all plug and play. Very easy.

mailed!! thanks again guys.
think il go with 500l to be safe.... and a bit future proof.
-
Is the difference between 250l and 500l just tank size?.
-
and the water in it, and the weight, and the amount of houses you can clean, and the cost. ;)

What i ment is the rest of the system the same whether it's 250 or 500.

what van do you have, as you dont want to over load it, that is why a lot use 250 lit and some transits have 1000 lit, i only got a 125 lit tank (for £40 more could of got 250 tank) as wasnt sure if i wanted to go wfp, a di, battery, all pipes hoses reels etc, i just asked for the cheapest stuff they did, manily the own brand stuff, there is not much difference between them becareful as a lot will try and sell u expensive stuff, there is a window cleaner near me who has spent 16000 this year on a system and a 05 transit van
it worked out cheaper for me to buy it all seperate rather than in a ready built pack
systems are all the same, the only difference is if you use a ro or just a di what is the tds of ur tap water
-
yes i agree,
i have a transit , and a 650 litre caged tank in there, 40 quid...
used.....
you can buy a decent 300 gpd ro system for around 150 quid,
i much prefer to build it myself, much cheaper... and just as good,
first you put it all in basic.... to get you up and running...
then add the professional touches as you go, and when you can afford it.
-
a rough tot up of the stuff for sale above, and he is making a profit,
of course.... so that means you can get the whole package cheaper....if you purchase them individually from various places.
-
try wintecs.co.uk or gardiner poles systems, there web sites let you build ur own system i paid 30 quid for a converted pole and then got a new head for 26 just as good as any pole i know other windows cleaners are using, might not be as light, but i didnt have the money to be throwing around and i have never had any probs with it

I dont know the tds in my water, Im in wgc hertfordshire.
Is this how I decide weather ro or di? I know im definately rather a hard water area, scale in water visably sometimes!!
Is it expensive for more resin etc, and can I buuild a van mount system that purifys it on board to avoid having to pump it about??
What would be a complete shopping list?
I think Im definately going to go ahead with this.
I only have a astra van btw, surely this could hol 400/500l tops?? Only rarely tho as like I say its not for everything atm...
-
Just seen your reply, is that everything I ned. Sorry to sound dumb, im still lost as to the whole process.
How much waste water is there? and how does it seperate this from the water i want to keep??
How much pure water do you get for x amount of resin??
Sorry for all the ?'s
-
when u say astra van, u mean the little one, if it is i got one and think they only hold 250, u will probably need a ro system which will mean more expense, as i think you need to put it in you garage and convert it, i got di as i live in cornwall and the water is soft, am not to sure if you could run it all through a couple of di vessel, to take it down till its at 000 in prinical i think you can, but i have never seen this way
Prehaps a more experience wc can answer this question
