i've got a 40" ro 4040 and its pumping out 50+ tds from about 250-300, just wondering which filters will i need change as the 40" is £200+ , would the two filters before this have any effect on tds as theyre really cheap replace  ;D

that is before resin, im using resin from 50 down to 0 but its using it fast

I would change the pre filters and see,I got mine from Pure Freedom,they are the 20" ones,how long do you have the system

I would look at the waste tap (amount of water to pure your getting) sounds to me like yours maybe to high in pure, let more waste and it should drop.

or it could be your membrane in on its way out, 50 tds out of membrane is not good, when did you last flush it ?????

the list goes on a little more.

By the way I have tap tds of 470+ comes out at 8 goes up to 17 that is unboosted with pump just tap pressure.

make about 1000lt a week, never flushed it ::) :-[ how would i tellwether its pre filters or membrane

Flush it first then if its the same then try the filters.
