We have been building up a window, conservatory, gutter and fascia cleaning service for a while now. I am contemplating putting our prices up on our website so that residential customers could almost quote themselves by counting the various house features and using a banding or pricing structure to get an end result.
I can see a few down sides with this policy like letting yur competitors know what your rates are for example. Do you guys think this is a good idea or bad. Your thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks John

i had noticed these on a few websites of a few guys on here. I can see where problems can occur, what you class as a window and what a customer classes can be very different. they could give themselves a very high quote and be scared off before talking to you.
Has anyone found any benefit to them?

I think this would work very well in built up areas/cities as many houses are pretty standard,
but out in the sticks i think its better to go and view the property - as many people build sheds/lean to's or other strange items in the garden that make life difficault to reach a window or even access the side of the house, which all adds time to the job
