I paid over £60 for these boots last year and found them great, they have a membrane to stop water getting but let your feet breathe.
Sportsdirect are now selling them on offer for £20. You can get em online or direct from their shops.
Hope this post keeps a few feet warmer this year :D

I have a pair of those lol
£22 something lol, I have the grey ones, but I used toe caps for pressure washing as I screwed up a pair of trainers by accidently blasting too near to my feet.

Don't be fooled by the "WAS" price. The law states that these products must have been on sale for 28 consecutive days in at least one of the branches at the top price before they show this as a reduction. I have been a manager for this mob and believe me it's all a con, they own brands like Karrimor and they make cheap versions of there top end walking and hiking boots and folk buy these as being the real deal, the amount of complaints we have had on these boots is frightning.
But if you folks who have them are happy with the quality then that's all that matters.

Spot on Terry ,
The £20 jobbies are VERY poor quality , the original Karrimor boots are decent kit but the ones from Sports Direct are VERY poor imitations, DONT buy them, you would be better getting a pair of cheap leather / suede boots and coating them in NIX-WAX, Unless the waterproof membrane is something like E-Vent there not worth a tap as they will make your feet sweat.

Try this one the;s are good http://www.decathlon.co.uk/EN/arpenaz-snow-100-26329645/#

I got a pair off MandM direct and will give them a few days tryout (been using them since yesterday)
So far, they seem fine altho I understand where tericleaning is coming from as all the other karrimor boots ive had did indeed have the event membrane.
Bob

Tericlean
These boots have the weathertite membrane rather than the event one.
In your opinion, is this a good membrane or not. I've been told they are okay but not from someone in the know like yourself ;).

I picked a pair up in store & they seem fine, good stiff soles. I only expect 4/5 months from a good pair of boots anyway & what the heck, it's only £20 (approx 3 mins work, on a bad day!) ;)
-
Got them today, very, very pleased. top boots. BARGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
-
