Had a bouncy one last week - the customer has given me another and apologised and has also given me a fair bit extra (probably for the inconveniance). So has anyone noticed if Abbey charge for them?
If not I may knock the difference off their next bill (don't ask me why - it's just the way I am).

No. They don't charge for this. At least they didn't three months ago.

Don't know about Abbey but Lloyds don't charge the recipient for a bounced cheque. I understand the issuer gets hit for £30 for each time the cheque is presented and returned....and custies think we overcharge?

No, Abbey dont charge if you get a bounced cheque from a customer. They only charge if it is one of your own cheques you write gets bounced back to them.
