Title: Wire, Fuse, Switch???
Post by: Fieldsy on October 10, 2009, 01:29:59 pm
For those who have an inline fuse and switch between the battery and pump on a van mount which electrical connectors and wire do you advise/use to join them all together considering its in a "wet" environment??

thanks

If using a flow control, better to put inline fuse between battery and control, use the covered male/female connectors, using same wire type as your pump uses.

thanks Craig, yes sorry, will be using a flow control, so will link in line with that. What do you class as covered male/female connectors. Do you mean either the spade or bullet type covered in the transparent rubber/plastic

thanks

It helps if you put heat shrink over the conection points. We use this method all the time on the boat, and that is a harsh environment.
