Post by: Blue Frog Systems on October 08, 2009, 08:52:55 pm
Ok, so im looking for a cheap cutter vac solution for the jobs im getting in. At the moment im subbing the gutter clearing out to a guy on ladders.

I havent got a couple of £k to spend and wondered if this could used with hose attatched to a pole ?

Tell me what you think and reasons / advise behind what your saying

It would prob get the rubbish out of the gutter but in the process splash it all over the house!

How do you mean 'splash it all over the house' ?

the vac will blow it all out rather than suck it up

its a blower / vacum.

How would it blow it out if it was set to vac ?

Heavy? No collecting cylinder if you vac and not enough oompf if you blow.

ftp.... weight wouldnt be an issue as it would stay in one position.

it does have a collection bag (not pictured) Collection Capacity (L):  45

would a 30cc one be better ?

Are you suggesting you strap that thing to a pole?

And raise it to gutter height?

With an engine on it. You're not really being serious are you.

No, my idea is to keep it on the ground.

Connect a hose to the end and then run the hose to the top of a pole

or maybe use 80mm Downpipe sections

then at the top a u bend

Thank God for that, I thought you were going to be the first person killed cleaning a gutter without having left terra firma. If that thing landed on your nut you wouldnt stand a chance.

People moan on here enough about their pole clamps, with that thing waving around amongst the clouds on the end of your pole it could have been quite interesting.

Doubt your method would work, those things dont blow sufficiently 10' along the ground let alone 20' or more to clear wet crud. No chance.
