Just a thought today while trying to shut a bedroom window with
My converted fishing pole for window cleaning.Had I gone and tried
At least one pole section would have snapped for sure.Fishing poles
Being so light and flimsey what are the poles and rods made from that
Fishermen use when trying to reel in a 2 ton shark?? They don`t snap.
Leastways I don`t think so.Thanks for replies,

They have got reels, hence are shorter. The fishing poles we use are modular, hence you can't cast with them like you can with a rod and reel. The modular poles need to be as light as possible. You can't wind your line in, you have to raise the pole completely. A normal rod and reel are much shorter, and have much higher wall thickness.
