Hi I'm Natasha ;D
I have just started a new office cleaning company in London. I have it registered with company’s house and VAT and I have paid an AdWord advert with Google to display my website.
Now for the more important thing, "getting contracts" I have no contracts so far, and I don't know what to do to get office cleaning contracts.
I'm sure there is some successful businessmen’s in cleaning, security or similar who I would like to ask for your help in telling me how you did it, what’s your secret, how should I approach a office business to offer my office cleaning services.
Much appreciated in advance ;)

hi there,
i used to sell office cleaning in north london for five years.
there is more than enough work in london for every clenaing company and then some.
if you are just starting out then you need to be out the poundin the streets and gettting your marketing acroos peoples desks.
you will always find someone who isnt happy with the clenaing , whether it be the price they are paying or the quality of the service they are currently receiving.
good luck

martin

Thanks Martin19842 for your advice.

Ok Martin when selling this Office Cleaning, why was your company better than the one the compa\ny was always using.
What are you going to d to give me the best office clean ever?
-
Ian,
Martin clearly states that you will always find someone who is not happy with the service they are receiving. He doesn't claim to give the best ever clean either.
Why so hostile? Especially from a moderator!!

hi there,
s
Ian,
well its the weeked, lets be honest about this whenever you are selling your product or service to a client, yours is always going to be better. thats why we are in business.
even if you know your product or service falls down foe whatever reason you are always going to sell on better service and value, thats the only reason why people would change.
anyway, its the weekend, and i'm going to attack a room in my house that looks like it could do with an explosion. its been a good month so time to chill a little i think.
regards
martin

Hi garyj
I dont think Ian is being hostile at all, he's making a point of how you might sell your business.
If ever I quote for office cleaning I always find out why they are not happy with their cleaner, I always keep an open mind. Dont you find that there are no complaints for months even years then you forgot to empty a bin and all of a sudden they seem to think that you never empty the bins.
You got to hear this one.
I took on a clean with a company that had never paid for a cleaner in over 10 years they just did it themselfs. I gave them spec which they were happy with until they wanted more done but didnt want to pay the extra.
I did the clean as normal. The next day I get a phone call from the manager who said that they had left a booby trap for me and that I had failed it miserably. He said that on one of the desks they left a chocolate bar and I never threw it away.
I inquired as to why I should have thrown this bar away. Get this. He said that although it wasnt opened it was OUT OF DATE.
I think this manager should have been put in a home. However he got annoyed when I explained to him that it was the job of the owner to dispose of their property into the bin and not the hard working cleaner who has better things to do than look at dates on chocolate bars.
I never got the push but after the 1st months money came in I told them to get somebody else.
Just had to share that with ya.

I have responded to this question in detail many times. Rather than having to type it all out again take a look at this post. My advice is contained in there, along with a lot of other good advice.

Hi CMS, glad to see you're still around.
I almost put that link on here last night but felt that if people were too lazy to search for the information they would be to lazy to follow the advice.
There is a wealth of information and advice on here if people could just use the search facility. ::)

I have only just noticed that I might have been a little hostile in May.
If I was I am sorry.

LOL, Martin has already told me off for that. He didn't think you were.
