Title: Peroxide
Post by: Jason Ryan on October 03, 2009, 05:12:12 pm
Alright all,

Just got some peroxide but its the runny cream type not clear liquid-does that mater or must it be the clear liquid.

Never tried peroxide as a stain removal so will do some tests first-what kind of dilution rate should i use (if at all) and how do i apply (spray, neat etc).

Cheers

Peroxide is normally sold in a brown coloured bottle to protect it from sunlight which weakens it, the cream is made ( I think) for hairdressers I believe it has a stabiliser in it to make it last longer I did a stain course and the instructor used this cream as it stayed on the surface of the fabric (in contact with the stain)

I don't think its a problem

Cheers Mike-it was a hairdresser who got it for me.

So i take it i just apply it to the 'stain', but do i leave it dwell and rinse or another way (bearing in mind its the cream i got).

if I remember correctly we were told to apply to the stain agitate it in with a spatula  and accelerate with a hot iron.

watch it until its done its job then extract.
