Hi anyone else own one ?are you happy with its capabilities would you like it up graded so less whippy has it now appears that the manufacturers have decided that its not stiff enough and have increased the amount of
carbon in the pole.
My pole is left in the van and as been used for approx 2-3 hours due to it being unsuitable for the purpose for its intended use . :'(
-
Mine is four months old and the green overextension markers have COMPLETELY worn out on the top two sections, sometimes leading me to pull a section right out of the other. The top section spins so much that i had to do the clamp up so tight that it snapped.I bought the 30ft pole but leave the last two sections at home. Are only the 1st four sections carbon as the other two certainly don't look like they are? I appreciate wear and tear etc but £500 after 4 months seems a little too early for that much wear.
If you bought a tv and it wore out after that time what would Currys do?
I'd be up there giving the Saturday boy some abuse thats for sure.
Some goodwill wouldn't go amiss.
-
Russell ,we wait with anticipation to your reply with referance to a good will gesture making these poles useable
-
:'( :'( what happened to customer care?
-
I have done the clamp up on my top section so tight thats its a job to undo it and the pole stilll spins and moves down about 6" as soon as it hits the top of a frame.
As for a responce by Facelift, sometimes nothing shouts louder than the sound of silence.
-
Have you tried phoning them up?
-
god ive had a pole off them prob 5/6 years still going strong a good crew
in my dealings with them : ;)
-
I think Jason and Luther think that Facelift are glued to CIU to see if people are talking about them. Strange lot on here sometimes.
I have a pole of theirs, prob 18 months now, brilliant pole and great service.
I imagin the problems above are user error!
-
I certainly don't think that Facelift are glued to this site,in no more than anyone else thinks Brodex,Gardiners or Ionics etc are. I am merely making an observation. I have rung Facelift and they want the pole back for at least two days. What shall i do on those two days? Will you pay my wages? There isn't a pole (domestic) manufactured that i couldn't go and buy with two days wages. I don't doubt that your pole isn't good. However,it obviously isn't a Fusion. Obviously all your posts have never contained an issue with any manufacturer.
-
if i was a manufacturer i would certainley checking this site daily to get feed back from products and resolving any that arose.
CHECK GLYN AT OMNIPOLE HE CERTAINLEY DOES

Chill out mate, you sound stressed!
I find it hard to believe that a serious window cleaner only has one pole that can be used at any one time. Simply send it back and use your backup.

And you would be on every other window cleaning site doing the same thing right.
Many of the manufacturers are actually busy and when they do come on here often get a hard time from people who could beat Victor Meldrew in a complaining competition.
If I have a problem with a supplier I will speak to them exclusively and not blab about it to all and sundry expecting them to respond on a public forum to all and sundry.
-
Why not tell all that the fusion is rubbish thats what these forums are for and hopefully the manfacturer will respond otherwise people may stop buying their poorly designed and produced products.
-
only one pole yous got to be haveing a laf
-
A sensible comment Ewan! :o
I am lucky in that my main pole is only a 17ft xtel so it is a cheap option for me to have a spare.
I would be reluctant to spend a lot of money on a pole I had not used before or that did not come highly recomended by others. For this reason I would not buy a pole such as the facelift fusion.
My biggest pole mistake was to spend £200 on a 24ft streampole (the 45ft version has regularly been advertised on e-bay)
-
good pole the 45 ft

Hi All
Let me set the record straight regarding this issue.
As stated, I am not glued to this forum waiting to reply to every comment posted!
However i will respond on a public forum to this problem! I prefer to handle problems in person and as Jason only lives around the corner from me I find it amazing that he has chosen to use this forum to continue airing his views rather than to use his phone and speak to us at Facelift directly! Jason, please use the phone or drop in and we will sort out your issue!
To set the matter straight - the biggest selling poles in the uk and worldwide are the exel glass fibre and hybrid. Since we sell a large amount of poles worlwide, we have changed our pole range in order to compete in this market! Our glass fibre range is in direct competetion with the exel glass fibre and the fusion with the hybrid.
Please note, to compare the fusion with the slx/glyder(a full carbon pole) is an unfair comparison and we will lose every time. While we have been extremely happy with our existing carbon fibre range, we understand the the market place is still changing and so we will be launching a new carbon range next year.
We have listened to our customers who felt that altho the fusion was still better than the hybrid it was still not as stiff as they would like. Therefore as stated on this forum we have changed the tubing design to improve it. As far as I am concerned this is a good thing! A supplier listening to it's customers and responding!
The new improved fusion will be available early next year.
Luther, as we discussed on the phone, we WILL repair the pole but unless you send it back to us we can't do that. I am aware that you will be without the pole for 2 days but that is the same if you send any product back for repair. My hands are tied a little, unless you return the product for me to repair it!
We have always took pride in our customer service, and I believe Jason you were praising our customer service only a few weeks ago as Daniel actully delivered to your home some items you ordered.
In conclusion, Forums in my opinion have a role to play because you guys can freely express your veiws and ideas. However if anyone has a problem with a product, please feel free to discuss it on here but give the suppliers a chance to sort it out and discuss it directly. Otherwise the forum will lose it's credibility and would be used as is sadly the case by some, as an outlet to unjustly slander.

Good response, can't be fairer than that.
