Im doing a 3 piece tommorow, had a message left on phone earlier off the mother as follows

Hello your doing my daughters 3 piece tommorow ive got 2 cushions im not happy with so can you go over them.

when i checked my diary i cleaned the mothers 3 piece 2 and a half months ago.

They were good enough for her to recommend you to her daughter presumably? How are you going to navigate this dilema?

here's an idea....... clean them!!

it'll take 15mins and will make her happy.

after all she probably is telling the truth, she was'nt happy with the result when you cleaned them but couldn't be bothered to call you. now you have the ideal oppertunity to show what a great guy you are.

or you could tell her to get stuffed, your choice

Had one a while back ringing me after approx. 5 months.

"Do you gaurantee your work?
You did our carpet about 4-5 months ago and its dirty again"  :o

Told them I would have been happy to go back after 1-2 weeks but 5 months is unacceptable and that I could clean it again for them at a slightly reduced price.

"Oh, lets  do that then" they said.

Just trying it on.  >:(

i'm with mike, for the time it will take you to do them, don't get the hump, just do them and look big. she will think you are a great guy and might pass your name on to others,

Send her a text back (I hate customers and texts) saying that you'll redo them providing they are taken to the daughters property.

I had one the other month who phoned about a carpet clean from 3 months prior. I told her that 3 months was a long time to bring this up but I would do the spots but only when I was in that area. I made her wait 3 weeks. When I got there she said she was chuffed with the clean but about a week later a couple of spots appeared. I used a rotary on the previous visit so it was dry and no spots, these were clearly 'new' spots. I think she gauged from my body language that i was not impressed . I was done in 10 minutes and away.
This was clearly one of those Cowboy Customers and I'll find excuses in the future to avoid doing this one again.

I did just that got her to take cushions to the daughters house as im anxious to keep all customers happy no matter how awkward they are, and believe me this woman was hard work when i initially cleaned her 3 piece.
Anyway did the daughters 3 piece, nice ten pound tip and she wants me to drop a few leaflets in nxt time i pass so she can give to friends.
