Title: Mondeos why?
Post by: ftp on October 01, 2009, 08:00:11 pm
What is it about these cars and trad cleaners?
There seems to be thousands of them trundling around my area with their ladders on top.

I once had a new 406 it was lovely, sat nav , automatic switch on lights wipers the lot,  but engine was  a bit sluggish only 90 bhp and was a big heavy car, but fuel cnosumption was amazing in it my step dad has it now in ireland as it got annoying the lack of uumph, couldnt take anything over, and only got 100 out of it downhill, 600 miles to a tank of diesel though, funnily enough i have a shhh mondeo now, and its quicker but not as good on juice :(

still get 500 to a tank though

I like the look of the focus. There seemed to be popular with the police so must be a decent vehicle, but it seems that taxi drivers where fond of the mondeo also. Changed times now though, taxi all running round with cheap skoda's, and mini bus like traffics. That depends on the area though, I guess.

Personally the estates bug me, yes they have a big boot, and good for getting trad poles in, but unless you are getting the ladder of at ever job there boots are a pain.
I used a salon and could open the boot and get the bucket out no probs with the ladders still on, as I do allot of shops and low level stuff that I can do without the ladders. But in an estate you need the ladders off, before the hatch boot can open right up.

I am now using a kangoo, and find it much more suited to the job.

Nothing wrong with skodas, they're just a cheaper version of a passat or polo. Same engines, same spec, same reliability which is more than can be said for a dagenham dustbin ;)

is that a picture of you?

Have you been pushing your vectra for a while, I will also be shocked if you tell me you are water fed pole.

If you are you must carry the 250ltr tank around, is that it.
