Now that more and more carpet is being laid, some like felt back, directly, on top of laminate flooring, there is even more reason to check fittings and enquire to the type of flooring. A lot of the DIY laminate is poorly fitted and those with little or no expansion gap will be a real problem, and could rise in the middle like a cake, if the carpet which now lies on top of it is overwetted during cleaning. Beware!
