Title: chemdry pricing question
Post by: Shaun_Ashmore on May 24, 2005, 03:50:41 pm
What do CD charge for their platinum srvice carpet cleaning?

It cleans, protects and sanitises.

I appreciate that the price will vary, jsu wondered as AllergSTOP does more or less the same thing.

Hope some Chemdry members are  not intimidated by this question.

Please PM me if you wish

Strange bloody web site that. Whole thing is about unique hot carbonated extraction system. Then in the price boxes it states "price does not include hot carbonated extraction" so what do they do, lick the carpet clean?

Thanks Mike, was it from a customer that had them round to quote and then had you?

I guess like all franchisees this will be slightly variable.

Yes, she had a quote and then got one of my leaflet so gave me a call. She said the ChemDry Bloke was a very nice & likable gentlemen and if she had'nt got my lealfet she'd have gone with them.

Mike,

So why did she go with you and not CD then?  Price, or something else?

No wonder some CD guys are struggling :o

£4.25 per square meter being there budget service and £6.10 for there premium cleaning, you would be better off buying new carpet !!!

Mike

You could have got a higher price as she was prepared to pay Chem Dry.

I never said I was cheaper than C/D, only that she chose me ;)

it was because I was the last person to quote, unless you're a heavy closer usually the last salesmen in comes out with the deal.

I recently saw a CD quote and it stated that the minimum charge was £62.50. I also noticed on the American website that the cost was to clean exposed carpet. Does that mean they clean around the furniture? because it also states that they move certain items not all of them.

Cleaning exposed Carpet is an interesting concept
I had never thought about it until the other day.

I wonder how widespread it is.

Perhaps that is how you clean a three bed house in an hour and a half.

One of the advantages of cleaning with M/S and agitating with a suitable machine.

This means, you can feather into surrounding areas and offer, what can be perceived as, good value, to the client.

Hardly a new concept !
