has anyone ever had to remove baby lotion from a carpet.........the stain has been there for 1 year.........any chance it will still come out?? it is a light coloured carpet!!!!!
-
Why oh why have they left it there for 12 months???
How did they TRY TO REMOVE it when it was first spilt??
-
they used soap and water....then a wet vacuum to hoover it up.......it has left a dark patch!!! 20cmx20cm
-
The reason for the black patch is that the soap residue that was left in the carpet has attacted dirt.
-
so what should i use to remove....??? just basic cc detergent?? or a oil remover?

I would first cold water rinse to remove detergent then mist with eco spotter and lightly agitate with a micro cloth, leave for a couple of mins then extract with a hot water rinse.

I would just clean with your usual method.
As John flynn said, black mark is dirt stuck to soap solution.
Baby oil should come out with normal HWE.
-
I would apply micro splitters and gently massage in then hwe with a clear hand tool until foam has gone, towel wipe and put aturbo drier on it while you are packing away.
The only touble is that baby lotion is very greasy so a return trip may be unavoidable as it tends to wick back if not fully rinsed.
