Title: Does anyone use a merlin 720 for instant water?

i get about 100L an hour from it ;)

I got mine from www.gapswater.co.uk paid just over £300 but i`m sure they are cheaper now ;)

Post by: leapstallbuildings on September 28, 2009, 09:20:45 am: It does depend on local conditions. I have a merlin and got about 23 litres an hour from it when I last checked. Water pressure is below the desired minimum of 40 PSI though. TDS now climbed to about 024 once on a roll. This is with restricted waste and low pressure though so I know I'm not using it anywhere near its best. I think the low pressure is caused because the standpipe is over 100 metres from the mains outlet and is fed by half inch hose.
So long as it keeps ahead of me I don't care though. It's fine for supplying a one man outfit that does mostly domestic.
I could probably tolerate it down to about 18 litres an hour before changing membranes. The membranes are nearly four years old so will probably need replacing soon. The pre-filters are to be changed again this week.
