I would like to extend a big thank you to the posters of CIU :)
over the last month I have gained some valuble knowledge from this site, and today was the day that I put it to use. I went out and done an hours canvesing and got 2 customers confirmed and 2 that are very interested and I gave them a price and left my flyer.
So from small acorns and all that ;D

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww, sweeeeeeeeeet. Not that i've personally helped you Teri, but we all leaned on this site in the beginning. It's members, past and present ane fundamentally an ok bunch ;D It's a case of what goes around comes around really. No doubt you'll be able to lend a hand to other newbies when you're able to. i found that most new customers like you to clean them right away, also a smart looking uniform and looking the business has paid dividends for my canvassing. any other good pointers out there?
i mus ave knocked on thousand of doors and still not quite to sure what to say!!!!

as on what to say, I just said "hi I'm setting up a window cleaning business in the area, would you be intersted in my services". My back ground is in retail managment so I am used to dealing with customers face to face and the ones who weren't interested I just said a polite thanks anyway and carried on.
