just bought secondhand hydromist champ,as it is collecting dirty water it is leaking water from underneath somewhere.i am fairly new to carpet cleaning and have never stripped one down.does anyone have any suggestions to what the problem may be.it is still getting most of dirty water into recovery tub.I hope its not too serious.Cheers

As the recovery tank on the Champ lifts off completely, why not take it off, fill it with water and suspend it up on something and look underneath for leaks, when you locate the leak then repairing it will be the next step.

cheers but dont think it is the actual recovery tank that is leaking.have taken clean water tank off and it all seems pretty dry in there. So i have no idea where water is coming from.

Is it leaking clean or dirty water, if clean, it could be the pump.

Hi I have the same machine, and like yours found that it was leaking, although mine was clean water.
It is worth checking all of the screws that hold the base plate onto the lower water tank, as on my machine I found that the previous owner had replaced one of the screws which had ruptured the holding tank. (used a longer screw)
The remedy was simple, and fixed easily with the use of a rubber grommit..........it could be the pump, and a call to truvox international is high recommended as I found them very helpfull.
just food for thought

Paul
