Alan

I recently have been looking for the hepa filter for these machines which are normally £6. A lot of places are out of stock except the places wanting £16.50, which is nearly as much as I paid for it.

If anyone has got some recently for £6 I'd be keen to know.

Tony , they are ok for stairs but thats about it. The filters also clog up too early. In the days of Allergstop we used them for mattress cleaning and they were U S.
If you want a decent vac for mattress etc invest in a filter queen.

You soon lose it when someone wants you to go back and show them how to put the spare belt on. ::)

Mike that is the only upside of them. We used to buy them for 15 quid and sell them to customers for 50. They demo great but loose power to quick cos of the filters.

Paul

I honestly don't think my custies use them much, bit like the K-Tel burger maker, stuck in a cupboard somewhere only used a few times. Only had a couple of requests for filters.

You are now showing your age mate  :D

I meant JML  ;)

The guy I was getting them off said he built a 1-20 failure rate into his figures. This was for all elec goods.

There's easier ways to add on some profit

Having heard carpet cleaners speak very highly of these Hunter vacs, i thought it was only me that disliked the messy clogging fliters. I see now that it's not.

And i'm glad also that it's not just me who realises that the aftercare of said appliance falls to the person who sold it  :-\

I'm guessing that the Hunter might be better if they did a paper-bag version?

At £16 I felt it was worth trying out and it does work for VERY small jobs. I agree with Paul Moss that there are FAR better options he mentions the Filter Queen and I'd add the Dennis Rawlin's water filtered vac...............a lot more expensive than the Hunter, but no comparison
